Armed Security Officer

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintain Visibility: Ensure high visibility by periodically stopping and patrolling different areas of the lot to deter criminal activity.
2. Access Control / Verify Credentials: Ensure that individuals attempting to enter the facility have proper identification and access passes, such as badges, cards, or visitor passes.
3. Surveillance: Continuously monitor CCTV cameras placed around the gate area to identify suspicious activities, unauthorized entry, or any security breaches.
4. Monitor Entry and Exit Points: Ensure that only authorized personnel and vehicles are entering or exiting the lot by checking identification, vehicle registration, or other access control protocols.
5. Log Entries and Exits of Trucks: Keep a detailed log of all trucks entering or leaving the premises, including company name, driver name, truck ID number, cargo type, and delivery or pick-up details.
6. Observe for Security Threats: Watch for suspicious behavior, loitering individuals, or any signs of illegal activities such as theft, vandalism, or drug use.
7. Incident Reporting: Immediately report any security breaches, safety hazards, or emergencies to the appropriate authorities or management, and document the incident thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• ARMED PILB / Guard Card
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Previous experience in security is preferred
