Trillium Professional is now seeking an Internal Auditor for direct-hire in Novi, MI!
Salary range is $80-100K/year.
Key Job Duties/Responsibilities:
-Assist/Perform various types of internal audit for the locations in the American Region (MI, TX, CA and Mexico). The audit type includes but not limited to J-SOX, qualitative/operational, quantitative/financial, compliance, and information security following the Company’s methodologies.
-Assist/perform analyzing data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
-Assist/perform J-SOX assessment and advise remediation plan as needed.
-Assist in developing/implementing audit methodologies, policies, and standards.
-Assist in the periodic risk assessment activities and developing the annual internal audit plan.
-Assist/provide guidance about audit overview to auditees.
-Assist/prepare audit program and communicate the fieldwork schedule with auditees.
-Assist/perform audit procedures, prepare for work papers, and execute field work as needed.
-Assist/establish internal audit report with recommendations for process improvement.
-Attend relevant meetings including meetings between Japanese native speaking executives/shareholders and local management to support cross-cultural communications, take minutes, and monitor project progress until completion.
-Conduct special project as directed by supervision/company.
-Any other assignments as directed by supervision/company.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
-Japanese-English bilingual (Spanish skill is a plus)
-Travel to the company branches in TX, MX, CA (Occasional)
-Able to handle flexible work hours during audits/projects (Occasional)
Experience Required
-Experience conducting internal audits of quantitative (financial) and/or qualitative (operational) such as J-SOX, SOX, ISO, IATF or/and TS.
-J-SOX and/or experience in the Japanese manufacturing/automobile industry strongly preferred.
-Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably in a corporate environment.
-Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and standards.
-Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various teams, departments, and shareholders
-Integrity, objectivity, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
Licenses/Certifications are preferred such as:
-Certified COSO framework (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission)
-Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
-Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
-Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
