Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their team. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be part of the IT support team supporting critical banking applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  Mainframe Developer

Location:  Minneapolis, Minnesota

Pay Range: $54.00/hr

What's the Job?

• Support and enhance the Hogan tool application with custom overlays to meet business needs.
• Utilize your experience in mainframe programming, including Cobol and Assembler, to develop and maintain robust solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the mainframe environment.

What's Needed?

• 4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.
• Understanding of Cobol and ability to program on the mainframe.
• At least 1+ years of basic understanding of Assembler language.
• Knowledge of EZTRIEVE and familiarity with VSAM, CICS, JCL, PROC, Endeavor, CA7, MQ, and related tools.
• Preferred banking experience and familiarity with Data Space, ServiceNow, Agile, FMMVS, and testing practices.
