Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join our team at Vlasic Bioscience . The Social Media Coordinator will create content across social platforms and retail channels, work on existing promotional campaigns, and maintain a strong online presence. Maintaining compliant content and copy is critical in the cannabis industry, so staying informed of relevant regulations and adhering to those rules is required. You will also monitor the comments on posts, ensure messaging stays on-brand, and track the latest social media trends. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating content, has strong organizational skills, and can lead a successful social media campaign. This role starts at 20 hours per week with the potential to transition to full-time employment if expectations are exceeded. Responsibilities Create content for social media across multiple platforms in a variety of formats Create and edit marketing and sales collateral for retail channels, aligning with the social calendar Maintain a compliant social channel per cannabis industry standards by staying up to date on relevant regulations Monitor social media interactions across all platforms Work closely with the social media team to stay on-brand and maintain an accurate voice across all platforms Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to apply them within current campaigns Manage and maintain a living social media calendar at least one month ahead at all times Collaborate with other teams as needed to ensure brand consistency Create reports showing the progress and outcomes of social media campaigns Coordinate lifestyle and product photoshoots with local artists Source local artists to help create materials that may require external expertise Design marketing assets including menus, posters, stickers, swag, promotional materials, and in-store collateral Source and manage vendors for marketing assets and maintain strong relationships with suppliers Qualifications Strong familiarity with all major social media platforms and awareness of trends Familiarity with Microsoft Office, photo editing software, and video editing software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Strong design skills with the ability to edit quickly Ability to collaborate with other artists, designers, photographers, etc. General knowledge of the cannabis industry and what works for various brands in the space Experience navigating cannabis-related social media regulations and compliance A passion for cannabis and/or CBD, and alignment with the company’s values Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Marketing and Sales Benefits Competitive Compensation Great Work Environment Career Advancement Opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Vlasic Bioscience
