General Description: The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day policy service operations and driving strategic and tactical initiatives that enhance the end-to-end policy experience. This role plays a key part in aligning operational workflows with underwriting, customer service, and client retention goals. The Operations Manager will contribute to the ongoing development of the supporting departments by identifying and implementing process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness. The position reports directly to the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives that improve policy service operations and support company objectives.
  • Oversee all activities associated with policy servicing, from initial submission through policy issuance and life cycle accounting.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance standards to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, headquarters, and client service teams to assess training needs and address quality/performance gaps.
  • Ensure service team priorities align with marketing, underwriting, and retention strategies.
  • Drive a culture of customer service excellence while maintaining cost-effective operational processes.
  • Monitor workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with external partners, clients, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance operations, including, Underwriting processes, Client service and policy administration, Reporting to senior leadership and C-suite executives
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.
  • Proficient in standard business software and systems; strong computer and technology skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced sales-driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
