Position Summary

First Baptist Church Pineville is seeking a  part-time Pastor Administrative Assistant (32 hours/week)to serve alongside the Pastor in supporting the spiritual and operational ministry of the church. This role is ideal for a mature Christian who senses a calling to serve the local church through administration, hospitality, and pastoral support. The position requires discretion, organization, and a servant’s heart.

Qualifications

• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and active involvement in a local church.
• Preferably two years of college or equivalent experience
• Warm, professional, and hospitable demeanor
• Highly organized, proactive, and dependable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn church management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Pastor, including calendar, email, correspondence, and scheduling
• Welcome guests and manage phone calls and office communications
• Prepare materials for worship services, meetings, and special ministry events
• Assist with pastoral care support (cards, hospital lists, funerals, special dates)
• Maintain church calendar and assist with weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications
• Support membership records, new member processes, and church communications
• Coordinate hospitality, supplies, flowers, and gifts for ministry events
• Attend staff meetings and assist with special projects as requested

• Reflect the fruit of the Spirit in relationships with staff, members, and guests
