Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time completion of customer orders using ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions).
  • Coordinate the release, dispatch, and tracking of production work orders; follow up on urgent jobs and reschedules.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, sales, and engineering teams to align schedules, address change notices (ECNs), and resolve delivery or production issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels, requisition parts, and expedite materials between departments to support workflow and shipping timelines.
  • Prioritize items for inspection and ensure alignment with shipping deadlines.
  • Schedule shipments with freight, air, and ground carriers; prepare and verify documentation for defense compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR).
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and generate performance or logistics reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support planning, logistics, and production control operations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Global Shop Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, shipping/receiving procedures, and production workflows.
  • Experience working with defense industry requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and DFARS compliance.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments including Production, Sales, Quality, and Procurement..
  • Experience with preparing shipping documentation, coordinating freight/logistics, and maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records.
  • Ability to read blueprints required.
