Job Description

Wichita Hauling is searching for a compactor repair technician in Wichita, Kansas.

The ideal candidate will have welding experience and mechanical aptitude.

Pay: $20 - $23 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 6 am start time / working 45-50 hours per week

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance on company owned and compactor
• Work includes knowledge of hydraulics, some electric, and welding/fabrication.
• Mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and fix issues on-site at customer locations or in a shop environment.
• Performing routine inspections, replacing parts, conducting minor welding, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to read technical documents/schematics, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Documenting all service work, parts used, and repairs completed.
• Performing installation and removal of compactors as needed.
• Other job duties as required.
