Job Description

Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Physical Therapist in Maine, Kennebunk, where your clinical skills will restore mobility, reduce pain, and empower patients to reclaim independence in everyday life. In this role, you’ll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that blend evidence-based practice with compassionate care. Whether you’re building endurance after injury, guiding post-surgical rehabilitation, or enhancing balance and mobility for seniors, your expertise will directly influence outcomes and quality of life. This assignment is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to grow as a clinician while discovering the charm of coastal Maine. You will experience the region’s breezy summers, colorful fall foliage, and the taste of famous lobster while contributing to communities that value accessible, high-quality rehabilitation. And because this is a travel position, you’ll have the chance to expand your professional horizons beyond Kennebunk, exploring diverse settings across the U.S. while advancing your specialty.

Location benefits: Kennebunk sits along the beautiful Southern Maine coast, offering easy access to pristine beaches, scenic trails, and a thriving dining and arts scene. The town’s welcoming communities, strong healthcare networks, and collaborative hospitals create an ideal environment for clinical excellence. You’ll enjoy robust support from local and remote teams, with flexible scheduling designed to help you balance patient care with personal time. The travel program also provides the potential to accept assignments in other states and regions, broadening your exposure to varied patient populations, settings, and clinical challenges. For those who relish outdoor recreation, the area offers hiking, kayaking, fishing, and golf, while being within reach of Portland’s cultural amenities and regional attractions. The combination of professional stimulation and natural beauty makes Kennebunk a compelling base for a fulfilling travel career.

Role specifics and benefits: As a Physical Therapist in this travel assignment, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mobility limitations, neurological impairments, orthopedic injuries, and postoperative recovery needs. You’ll design and implement individualized plans, set functional goals, and use a variety of modalities and therapeutic approaches to restore strength, flexibility, and endurance. You’ll document progress, communicate with families and care teams, and contribute to discharge planning and home exercise programs. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth through mentorship, continuing education, and the chance to broaden your expertise in musculoskeletal, sports, or neurorehabilitation domains. The package features competitive pay of approximately $2,229 to $2,323 per week, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. The duration of the assignment is defined by the specific contract in weeks and will be clarified at hire; the start date is 12/15/2025. In addition, you can look forward to a signing bonus where applicable, comprehensive housing assistance, and the option to extend or transfer to other assignments as your career goals evolve. We also provide robust support, including 24/7 assistance while you’re traveling with the company, helping you navigate any travel logistics, regulatory requirements, and clinical questions that arise on the road.

Company values: Our organization is built on empowering clinicians to grow—professionally and personally. We’re dedicated to creating a supportive work environment where your clinical judgement is respected, your career path is clear, and your achievements are celebrated. From onboarding to ongoing development, our leadership partners with you to align assignments with your interests and specialty strengths, ensuring meaningful experiences that advance your practice. Whether you’re seeking more complex cases, leadership opportunities, or specialized certifications, we’re committed to supporting your trajectory with resources, mentoring, and collaborative teams.

Call to action: If you’re ready to make a lasting impact while exploring new places and expanding your PT specialty, apply today. This role is a compelling chance to join a company that values your contributions and supports your professional development, all while you enjoy the beauty and character of Maine and beyond. Please note that the listed hours and pay rates are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process. Ready to begin your journey?
